Car park what car park,!! wheres the bloody car park.!!
This was the conversation in the car park, not really sign posted that well so people
were arriving in dribs and drabs. Right now were here ,£2 was the cost of paying to
go hashing. We had a hell of a job persuading Iceman to part with his money, and when he put it in it was rejected.
The pub from here on was over the footbridge which was covered in scaffolding
due to repairs, trying to negotiate through and round this was almost a hash on its own !!!!!
The” on out” took us along the river, which was lined with luxury chalets into
a huge field, to the left was a huge ridge, and to the right it was flat,
this is where “Doormat “ thought he was a race horse , he went flying of into
distance and we could hardly here the “ on on! “Just look at him up there”
remarked “Live wire”, “ enjoying himself while we are struggling to catch him”
Luckily the hare had a lovely check with multiple paths going up hill , down
hill and left and right splits, this brought the pack together nicely.
It was here that the “wizard “of hashing sped up a steep rise to find flour “on on”
was called, no one followed but mused around at the bottom , Then the Hare
started the climb and they duely followed!! Why dont they trust me ” Billy”.
We crossed many fields and narrow hedge lined pathways with glorious view looking down onto the river which sparkled in the evening sunshine.
IT was at this beautiful point where we met the walkers Spot Cerberus and twanky
for the “regroup” We tried to keep our distance from “ Shit for” and” Desperate,” just back from Cyprus looking the colour of mud !!! “We are brown ALL over she said”
“Slowsucker” led the way back down the steep bank with the pub now in view!!
Some find it hard to negotiate descents, and “Uplift” found it difficult, so she borrowed
“Billys “arm to dig her nails into while he navigated her down, Mutterings from “Skinnydipper” who was close behind,”” no body helps me”!
A last we are on the run in,” Booby” who couldn’t find the car park earlier on ,was playing catch up “come on you lot ,lets put in a good Finnish,
he duely did put in a good finish, shame he couldn’t find his way round the scaffolding and foot bridge we all got back before him!!!
Then it was on to the pub down “DOGS DO “lane, crickey like a mine field.
On On. BILLY Here we sat and ate into the small hours, lovely run thanks Caboose,
BOOBY, lost, lost ,just bloody lost!!! Downed very well!!
